spaces in between

Today, I went the whole day without my phone. It was quite liberating. I was much more aware of my surroundings and found that there's a lot less to worry about. I would really enjoy having a day, or even a week, where students couldn't bring their phones on campus. It would be interesting to see how much more interaction would take place. Technology, now more than ever, gets in the way of our face to face interaction with each other. People my age have a hard time understanding how people got around without cell phones. One thing cell phones do help with is making coordinating with other a whole lot easier, but I would like to go a full week where no one used cell phones.
